When Maggie was pregnant with our first child, Weston, I built him his nursery set. While she was experiencing the “9 month flu” I was in the garage creating his crib, changing table, and daybed. Today, Weston turns seven and in celebration I am posting a video of Weston and I building the table named after him… for his momma.
This table is unique in its own. We decided to build a solid walnut Weston Trestle using scrap walnut (large amounts of small prices of walnut). This process provides a butcher block look in the piece a look I have always admired.
Weston, being the seven year old that he is, was so excited about the project. It took roughly 15 hours to build so his attention and focus eventually fell to other more kid friendly things but the table had to be completed! In the video below, we recorded the complete build of the weston from start to finish. I hope you enjoy this video and feel free to share!
